About Course

Learn the basics of Scratch Programming. This is the Second Semester of our Scratch Program. Every Modules are to be taken each week. Every output of each module will create a simple game and animation using Scratch 3.0.

What Will You Learn?

  • 1) Scratch allows for young people to integrate creativity in storytelling, games, and animation.
  • 2) Scratch allows students to develop 21st century skills through the use of technology.
  • 3) Scratch can be used by people of all ages including students from elementary- high school ages, and adults in a variety of settings. Some uses Scratch to program robots.
  • 4) Scratch is a good springboard for young kids who wants to learn more of the programming logic concept moving forward.

In this module, students will learn: Use code to concatenate strings in Scratch Know that variables can be used to store user input Use conditional selection to respond to user input in Scratch

Lesson 5 – Disc Throw 2

Lesson 6 – Catch the Falling Star

Lesson 7 – Let’s Sing

Lesson 8 – Catch the Dots
In this module, students will learn: Create a Catch the Dots Game How to choose random items from a list How to use variables to track speed, lives, and the player’s score

Lesson 9 – Frank and You

Lesson 10 – Avery and Andie
In this module, students will learn: Cartoon Making Fundamentals How to use programming block for interaction
